Plasticizers or water reducers, and super plasticizer or high range water reducersare chemical admixtures that can be added to concrete mixtures to improve workability. Unless the mix is "starved" of water, the strength of concrete is inversely proportional to the amount of water added or water-cement (w/c) ratio. In order to produce stronger concrete, less water is added (without "starving" the mix), which makes the concrete mixture less workable and difficult to mixnecessitating the use of plasticizers, water reducers, super plasticizers or dispersants.

Uses
Sikament® 2001 NS a plasticizer for free flowing concrete in floor, slabs, foundations, slender components with dense reinforcement, walls, columns, pavements and other structural and non structural elements. Specially recommended for the following types of concrete:

Ready mix concrete

Pre cast concrete

Site batched concrete

* To produce pumpable concrete 
* To produce high strength, high grade concrete M30 & above by substantial reduction in water resulting in low permeability and high early strength.
* To produce high workability concrete requiring little or no vibration during placing. Advantages

*  Increased strength - Provides high early strength for precast concrete with the advantage of higher water reduction ability.
