Self-adhesive glass fiber reinforced SBS-modified bitumen membrane with aluminium foil on top

Product description ULTRAFLEX SA ALU is produced on a base of a high-quality polymer-bitumen binder. On the top side, the membrane is covered with the combination of PET film and aluminium foil. Self-adhesive material allows high speed of application and does not require any additional equipment and skills. The membrane is used as an underlay on pitched roofs and as a vapor barrier. Could also be used on top of metal corrugated sheeting with adhering to the whole surface of corrugations (not only on the upper edge of the profiled sheet). Performance of works The application surface must be cleaned of dust, debris, grease, leaves, oil and should not have gaps and cracks or other irregularities to ensure proper adhesion of the membrane. Remove anti-adhesion film, smooth the membrane at the prepared surface and press overlaps with a heavy roller. Transverse and longitudinal overlaps are to be 150 mm as per the international standards. Installation of self-adhesive materials should be performed within the favourable climatic conditions i.e. dry weather and temperatures above +10°C. Aluminium foil on the top surface of the material should not be damaged during the whole service life of the membrane as it may lead to degradation of performance and the loss of the manufacturer’s warranty. Storage Rolls of the material should be stored indoors in a dry place in their original packaging and taken to the construction site ready to use. Keep the rolls upright and do not stack pallets. Storage of rolls in a horizontal position is prohibited. Falls or other mechanical impacts should be avoided during transportation and storage.
